Merck Manuals sought out an illustrator who could work in a wide variety of styles to execute their vision for the Hidden Health Stories series. The concept was to tell the stories of people with invisible illnesses and disabilities through different books, magazines, and newspaper covers. Shaw provided character designs and illustrations for each style requested by the brand, which were then animated and presented with voiceovers on their social media channels.
